Provides emissions
control solution services for coal-fired power plants that
use selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to reduce
nitrogen oxides emissions. A mouth full!
Translation: they provide services to reduce air pollution
from power plants that are fueled with coal.
Historically, large power plants replaced catalyst systems
every three years. CESI is focused on the cleaning and
repair of those systems, which saves power plants a bundle.
•
The installed base of
SCR systems has been growing due to increased
emission/pollution regulation. Additional regulations are
pending at state and federal levels that should further
require use and maintenance of SCR systems. The opportunity
for CESI services is estimated to be $100 million within 5
years, up from less than $15 million now.
