Research and Analysis: |
The company operates a national air transportation network
to deliver time-critical shipments for the banking
(cancelled checks), medical (organs) and entertainment
(media and tapes) industries and others.
The company recently announced of its passenger air
subsidiary for $41 million and will use the net proceeds to
repay debt.
Airnet is already profitable having earned $0.19 per share
on $44 million in sales during the last quarter, and $0.36
per share on more than $80 million in sales during the last
six months.
With just over 10 million shares outstanding and a recent
stock price of $3.31, the company seems to be trading at
about 5x earnings. With the recent sale of the passenger air
business, we believe management can focus its efforts on
growing the profitable time-critical shipment business.
